The Program |
 |
The primary and extended treatment programs provide a full-day curriculum of care in a residential setting. The extended treatment program is designed for women whose problems related to their disease have not been sufficiently resolved by the primary treatment experience, whether at the Gables or elsewhere, or for women unable to maintain sobriety.
Our highly qualified treatment team develops a comprehensive individualized treatment plan focusing on issues specific to women:
- Body Image/Eating issues
- Relationships/Co-dependency
- Mental Health/Co-occurring issues
- Self-esteem
- Parenting
- Employment
- Independent sober living skills development
- Trauma
- Young women's focus groups
- Relapse Prevention
- Housing
The program is designed to build positive self-esteem, assist in identity development, and create more effective interpersonal relationship skills. By developing an environment that focuses on strengths, women are able to experiment with new behaviors and tools for positive change.

Group Therapy |
 |
| Group therapy is a primary treatment modality at the Gables. The overall goal of the group process is to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment in which women can explore the impact of chemical dependency in all areas of their lives. By actively developing positive skills necessary for quality recovery, clients are able to experience change and rewards. |
Phases |
 |
| The Gables presents a three-phase treatment system that provides individualized therapy for issues specific to each client. The extended therapy approach requires a minimum three-month personal commitment in order to provide the necessary base for addressing major issues. |
